Access from Lyon St. Expuery to the ski stations is by motorway until Albertville which facilitates quick transfers, but tolls of 15 euros each way are likely to add a little to the price.
Val Thorens is a purpose built ski resort and at 2300 metres is the highest in Europe. Although Val Thorens has great skiing in its own right, it is a part of the Three Valleys domain and the common lift pass makes this huge ski area accessible.
