Lyon St. Exupery is located 20kms to the east of the city of Lyon; France's third largest city. Lyon Saint Exupery is a major international airport with direct flights from many international cities. Access from Lyon St. Expuery to the ski stations is by motorway until Albertville which facilitates quick transfers, but tolls of 15 euros each way are likely to add a little to the price.
Val d'Isere (1850m) makes up one half of the vast Espace Killy ski domain together with neighbouring resort of Tignes. There has been skiing in Val d'Isere since the 1930's and the charming village is very well established with British holiday makers. Val d'Isere is around 40km from Bourg-Saint-Maurice.
