The airport of Grenoble-Isere, also known as Grenoble Saint-Geoirs, is some 45 minutes by coach from the centre of Grenoble. Access to the ski stations is almost entirely by motorway until Albertville which gives relativly short journey times.
Bourg-Saint-Maurice is the last major valley town before the high tarentaise resorts. BSM is 26kms from Moutier and 50kms from Albertville. The Eurostar ski train terminates here and high speed rail links are available to mainland France. Bourg-Saint-Maurice has a couple of large supermarkets (Intermarche and SuperU) providing a range of goods unavailable in resort.
